Dealing with Boredom

Hi - I help a full time carer who lives in with my mother in law. I give her breaks every day.

The carer is wonderful but does anyone have tips on how to help us support my mother in law from getting bored?

She no longer wants to look at magazines, play simple games , i think its because she is very advanced with her condition and is worn out at trying to recall anything now , getting her to go for a walk is a struggle , once shes out she enjoys it and it definitely improves her mood .
She loves comedy films but is not happy to watch it all day obviously, and after a while just sits staring into space, should i be worried , has anyone got any other suggestions please?
