My 83 year old mum has very bad dementia. I am her primary caregiver. My husband and I are hoping to go on holiday next week, this would mean my parents would have to stay in a Granny flat at my brother's place for that week (with a non-family caregiver). I tried to explain to my mum that tomorrow we would take them through to my brother and she plain and simply told me she didnt understand what i was saying. I tried to speak slower but I could see she was not comprehending. I am starting to doubt that I should take my leave next week if she is in this state. Any advice welcome.
